Program:  The Conifer Rotary Foundation Report

Today's meeting was our annual Conifer Foundation meeting.  Our Foundation provides fund grants for a variety of community needs:  parks and trails, human services (including Mountain Resource Center, Peace Shelter for abused and battered partners, Mt. Evans Hospice), community enrichment, international projects, veterans, disaster relief, schools, food services, animals, high school scholarships, other Rotary projects.

We get Foundation money from Donations, Home and Garden Show, St. Patrick’s Day Auction, Coupon Book ad sales, and raffles.  The proposed timeline for 2017 Grants:  the grant applications will be on the website by August 1 with a submission deadline of September 8.  Grant decisions will be made September 11-22.  October 2 is the target date of the announcements of the grant awards and the awards will be made October 17.
