Each year the Rotary Club of Conifer selects a local business whose management and staff has been recognized for practicing and adhering to business ethics that are in accord with Rotary's 4-Way Test: 1) Is it the Truth? (How does the business deal with its customers in a truthful and hones manner?); 2) Is it Fair to All Concerned? (How does the business represent and warrant its products and services in an honest and ethical manner?); 3) Will it be Beneficial to All Concerned? (How does the business' goods and services benefit the welfare of the community, its customers and employees?); and 4) Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships? (How does the ownership, management and staff of the business participate in community functions and fulfill the public need?)

First, club members are asked to nominate businesses they think fit the criteria. Next,  members of the Ethics Committee personally interview the nominees to better understand how they conduct their businesses. Then the committee meets again to discuss each of the nominees interviews and vote on recipient of the award.

The Ethics in Business Award winner is invited to our club meeting along with family, friends, and staff, where the award is presented.
