Gene retired in 1999 and moved from Stony Brook, New York to Westcliffe, Colorado with his wife and five-year-old daughter.  Since then, Gene has reinvented himself several times. He has worked as a rural land agent in Custer County, a psychotherapist and during the last nine years, a docent at the Denver Art Museum. Gene is a Past President of the Stony Brook Rotary Club, twice Past President of the Wet Mountain Valley Rotary Club in Westcliffe, CO and a Paul Harris Fellow. Gene lives with his wife Jan in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
