 Program:  Census! Katherine Green

The census forms will be coming out in the next week.  You can do them on-line or mail-in.  There are only 9 questions; each person in the household needs to be included.

The census is very important for federal funding for States and Counties (this could mean up to $2000/person!), for the number of Representatives to Congress and more.  For people with a PO Box, the census takers will bring the forms to the actual home.  The sheriff is to be notified when the enumerators are going into various neighborhoods.  No personal information is ever shared; it is archived for 72 years.

The Census is still hiring; they need more enumerators.  The pay is $20.50/ hour and there is mileage for transportation.  The training starts now until early April, depending on the job folks will be doing.
