Announcements/Business:

  • President Dean attended the mid-year Presidents’ meetings Saturday.  He felt that our Club was on the leading edge in membership development as well as productivity and lots of fun.
  • The Rotary Leadership Institute is February 1st.  It is three sessions and the Club pays the fee.  This training is very helpful in understanding all aspects of Rotary.  Go to the District 5450 website to register or just click HERE.
  • February 8th is the Rotary Polio dinner and fund-raiser and the speaker is John Hewko, CEO of Rotary International.  Reservations sign up is on the District website or just click HERE.
  • The second annual District 5450 Area 8 gathering will be held April 8, 2020, 5:30-8:30pm, at El Rancho.  The cost of the dinner will be $25. This is a great opportunity to meet Rotarians from the other Mountain Area-8 Clubs and do some great socializing.
  • Janine is directing this year's Foothills Home and Garden and Lifestyle Show, and she has us off to a great start.  30 booths out of 80 are already sold.  It will be April 4th and 5th at Conifer High School.  Janine needs help getting sponsors; they get many extras, including a free ad in the Canyon Courier brochure that goes to 15,000 homes in the area.  A $100 booth discount is available for local vendors by registering online and adding one of the 3 Chambers (Evergreen, Conifer or Platte Canyon) as the promotion code.
  • St. Patty’s Day Dinner Fundraiser planning is under way.  It will be held at Beaver Ranch, Saturday March 14th.  Please be thinking about the silent auction items.  Reach out to folks you know to get donations.
  • Peggy Halderman sent information about sewing projects by Crafters for America for the animal victims of the fires in Australia.  Contact Yvonne or go to the Animal Rescue Craft Guild Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/arfsncrafts.
