Updates and Announcements:

Tuesday November 30th: The month of November has 5 Tuesdays, so we will NOT have a meeting on Tuesday, November 30.

PayPal: Lee let us know the fees have increased so we have raised the cost of dues fees to $94 so the club is no longer losing money.

Salvation Army: Salvation Army need’s bell ringers, please sign up to ring the bell this Friday through Christmas Eve. There is a sign up genius for this. You can also donate via check, in memo if you do please put Conifer for tracking so the Conifer SA gets it instead of International SA.

285 Backpack Project: A Sign-Up Genius will be going out for volunteers to assist with things like transporting food from the food bank in Denver and packing bags. Charlotte is also working to see if we can do boxes of food for Christmas.

License Plate Petition: Our District is working with District 5440 and 5470 to get 3,000 electronic signatures so a specialty Rotary license plate will be considered by the State Legislature.  Signing the petition does not require you to purchase a license plate. To sign the petition, please visit: https://www.rotary5470.org/Stories/co-rotary-license-plate-petition

Home & Garden Show: To be held on April 9th and 10th at Conifer HS. Vendor  registration has started, and we’ve had some vendors signed up, and some vendors from years past. We have a presenting sponsor, and we have room for other sponsors and lots of room for more vendors. There are cards and handouts to give to potential vendors to help get the word out!

Sponsoring a family for the holidays: We would like to help sponsor 5 families for Christmas again. We will be trying to help those who need assistance and  some lifting up during the holiday season. This will include fundraising of donations like we did last year to buy gifts as well as Christmas trees and ornaments/decorations. Ed also mentioned that our application from Toys for Tots has been approved and we will be picking up toys on December 9th.

9Health Kids Vaccine Clinics: 9Health is working to get more kids vaccinated during the holiday season and they’re setting up clinics at the Denver Zoo on November 29th and December 15. They will be targeting kids from underserved communities so they’re asking for help purchasing 600 tickets for the Denver Zoo lights as a treat to go do after getting vaccinated.

If you would like to provide financial support in any amount, please send donations to:
9Health:365
1139 Delaware Street
Denver, CO 80204-3607
Please indicate in the subject line of your check that your donation is in support of the Zoo Lights/Vaccine project.
